Projects
Free Art Felega 1 was the first instalment of the project series created by Yenatfenta Abate. The art works that were produced were exhibited at the Gallery Peter Hermann in Berlin, Germany.
The second project was run in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Free Art Felega 3 was the continuation of Free Art Felega 2. 12 artists were selected and given the chance to improve their skills in an intense workshop.
In 2019, Yenatfenta Abate continued with her project series by focusing on the unique identity of each artist. The exhibition was held at the Ale School of Fine Arts and Design, Addis Ababa.
In 2020, Yenatfenta Abate started her first virtual Free Art Felega project. Due to CoVid-19, the whole world was forced to adapt to changes in their everyday life.
The panel discussion in 2019 was held at the Goethe Institute Addis Ababa. Special guests were invited to speak about the identity of artists.
